    The wife and I were on our way to Ajax Food Market and notice sign in the window for a fish and chips special. We added this to our list of spots to check out....

    We each ordered the white fish and chips special. The total for both specials was $10.75 with tax. It comes with a nice large piece of fish and a nice portion of fries. The fish is fried crispy with the traditional batter and the fries are thick cut fresh fries, definitely not from a frozen bag. For the price they definitely give you good portions and the special is great for lunch. I would have to say that the fries are on point with a little seasoning they are perfecto!

    This is now our go to fish and chips spot and we are going to enjoy trying different things on the menu...

    Best fish and chippie in town. Authentic British style even though it's Chinese run. Top marks in food quality.

    Best Haddock and chips in Durham if not Ontario :)
    Husband and wife team are super friendly and always remember my order every time I walk in. Have tried other places out of convenience but always come back to Balmoral. Fair prices too.
    Definitely recommend.

    Best fish and chip place that I've ever had, batter is light and fluffy. Have gone to this place ever since I was little and has always been the best.

    Really loved the fish & chips!

    We ordered the haddock and halibut and they were both delicious

    They use a tempura style batter that's light and not too greasy

    The fries taste like chip truck and were great!
